Born and raised on Long Island, NY, Darren joined the Army as an Intel Analyst and also worked as a Counter-Intel Agent. On a career path to work on clandestine operations, Darren began studying with an acting coach to aid in believability during undercover operations. After completing his service in the military, Darren moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.
He has appeared in numerous projects, including the films Transformers: Dark of the Moon, The Chaperone; and television shows Lucifer, The Last Ship, How I Met Your Mother, and Melissa & Joey, and his voice can be heard in video games, commercials, and TV narration.
As a writer, Darren has written two TV movies produced by PIXL Ent, Groomzilla, and Mechanics of Love. When he's not writing, he enjoys a happily chaotic life with his wife and three children.
